Sem 2 Case Study 1 - Murmur Whispers
Updated: Feb 22, 2021
Murmur Whispers is an interactive performance derived from Murmur, it was specially designed for a music group called ABL for the performance at "Victoires de la musique 2015".
Project Setting
Chevalvert connected a futuristic Pleyel piano created by the Peugeot Design Lab, and custom drums, to a 400 square-meter-large video projection screen
Raspberry Pi computer and openFrameworks will translate sound waves into LED fireworks and nebulas in real-time as ALB perform.
When ALB performs on stage, sounds are picked up to generate visuals on the screen. The waves produced by the instruments will pass through the LED tubes and project onto the screen. Each instrument has its own LED tube which generates a particular shape, so the music creates a unique visual through these waves.
